Thought I'd share my first impressions for those still tractor shopping...I chose the 790 for value and I've always been fond of Green tractors. Never owned anything bigger than my Craftsman lawn tractor previously but I did use a friends' Kubota years ago. Both my wife and I prefer manual transmission vehicles, so the GST was a natural for us. I got the tractor with R-1s, loader, 513 cutter and mid-PTO for the future. First thing I did was put a tow hook on the bucket (very handy). I've since cut the weeds on 7 of our 10 acres and borrowed a 7 1/2 foot disc to smooth out the land. All has gone well so far. Mower ate some rocks and other rocks broke a couple of disc blades (it is very old and rusty). Picked up five loader buckets full of rocks. I've mastered turning brakes and even had to use the diff lock while discing. I was concerned about the TPH lift capacity, but it's been fine even with this large disc. I'm looking forward to putting in a culvert and some tree planting in the near future, as well as more rock picking. Thanks to all the other members who helped with my decision. Rob

A friend once told me that, "It's not so much what you drive, it's how well you drive it that counts". You seem to be doing great and and the main thing is that you are enjoying it. I know I was amazed at what I could get done with one of these little machines, in my case a Kubota. Projects that once seemed too large for me to tackle on my own are now managable, to the extent that I spend almost as much time helping friends and family with their little around the house jobs. Ah, compact tractors are FUN to work (play) with, aren't they? ....
